Transportation will be the main topic for the February meeting of our Kaufman County GOP Club. If you are concerned about our roads and highways, whether we should allow any more foreign countries to own our toll roads, if our government will enact a mileage tax which in essence makes every road a toll road, will we be required to drive an EV, if every vehicle will be equipped with a kill switch and many other over the top governmental regulations, you need to be at our meeting.
Our keynote speaker will be Rachel Hale a mother of two children, a small business owner, East Texas Native and resident of Rusk County where she serves as Republican County Chair. She is a stalwart conservative being involved on the front lines of many issues facing us today.
Rachel started her political engagement speaking out against harmful curriculum at her local school board meetings. Since picking up the mantle, Rachel has served on statewide textbook review committees, testified before the State Board of Education, the Texas House and Senate, advocated for parental rights and children at our Texas Capitol as well as our U.S. Capitol in D.C.
Her passion for service has led her to become an Executive Director with the Texas Freedom Coalition, as well as a Representative for TURF (The most active grassroots organization addressing our transportation issues), She brings a wealth of knowledge to our February meeting. Bring a guest or two!
